A  Brief  Introduction  on  the  Old  Lady 

   Fengchen  Zhou

The old lady Fengchen Zhou was born on February 11.1905, in XiangHe County, HeBei Province of China. As an ordinary peasant family woman, she was good-natured and believed in Buddhism piously. She had taken vegetarian meals since 38 years old, cultivated her moral character with great concentration, did good deeds and accumulated virtue. She had the distinctive function of diagnosing and treating disease. For many years, she had brought benefit to country men and women with free treatment and had a very good reputation nearby XiangHe .

Since November 6, 1992, the old woman who was 88 years old had made abundant psychological and physiological preparation for her no-rotten body afterwards. During the later      half month, after this she showed many peculiar phenomena of herself and her surroundings, admonished her later half generations patiently how to conduct themselves in society and carried out the self-adjusting process of vomiting, phlegm coughing, excretion, mouth cleaning and meal reduction orderly. At 22:45 on Nov.24, after saying “I will fall asleep and don’t need the oxygen any longer!”, she pulled out the oxygen pipe herself in full control of her senses and stopped her breath and palpitation peacefully in her eldest son’s room.

After stopping her breath and palpitation, the old woman’s body presented many surprisingly  peculiar  phenomena: its temperature dropped to the room’s temperature after being retained for 24 hours, its limbs and trunk were soft as usual for many days, and its muscle had good elasticity. There was the phenomenon like blood flowing her blood vessel at the back of her hand and her temples. Her state was the same as an ordinary person’s sleep. In one month after this, there were many peculiar changes such as gas-charging, water-draining, etc. in her body. After the New Year’s Day in 1993, her body began to drain off fat or oil, the change has continued up to now and has passed through the season of the mid summer with the high  temperature (34℃) and the high humidity( the relative humidity 90%). Up till now, each part of her body has been dried basically. Her face is serene, her body has no peculiar smell.

In view of the above-mentioned peculiar changes of the old woman , connecting the variety of abnormal phenomena appearing before she stopped her breath and her deathbed testaments in the mind, her later generations didn’t cremate her body or bury her body in the ground. On the contrary, they preserved her body. Her grandsons, Yang Xueqiang and Yang Xueshun, who are all engaged in technical works in troops after their graduation in college, witnessed each process of her body changes and recorded the situations with a scientific attitude, obtained the most valuable scientific materials.

        Up to now, there are only four ways to preserve the remains of mankind: after treating with modern medical antirot technology the remains of some personages are preserved; the remains of some personages are preserved; the remains are preserved of the believers by long-term freezing; the remains from mummy in the conditions of desert or pyramid etc.; the remains of the believers of a religion become flesh by sealed in the vat and buried in a Buddhism pagoda or by artificial  treatment when they went into religious self-discipline of high level. The old woman Fengchen Zhou is not the same as the above mentioned. Her remains were neither treated by medical antirot technology nor by freezing; The surroundings haven’t the special conditions which make the water out of her body rapidly, and her body isn’t completely separated from the natural environment as the believer of the religion by adding charcoal and lime during the sealing of the vat, and then burying in the ground. The old woman stayed in the natural environment throughout the process of her change, and all changes of her body were accomplished by her own energy and self control absolutely.

The case of the old lady Fengchen Zhou has attracted much attention of the human science field of our country. Since May,1993, the departments concerned have sent experts in succession to investigate it. The Chinese Human Scientific Research Institute cooperating with the Armored Force Engineering Institute in which the old woman’s grandson works and with the local government has broken through all kinds of obstruction to place the old woman in her native place XiangHe, HeBei Province on July 5, 1993, and carried out preliminary scientific research and studies. The experts consider that judged from the change process of her body, the old woman’s biological field is still active; the peculiar process of the old woman’s self-adjustment and control bears a close connection with the forward position that human science will break through in the 21th century; and she has offered a rare peculiar example about life evolution, bringing to light the mystery of human body’s physiological and psychological self-adjust and control from the angles of modern medicine and biological cybernetics. The popular “flesh” exposing to the air that has formed by the evolution of her body so far isn’t still rotten. It works a wonder in the world. The studies on the old woman will certainly lead to strong shocks and response in the human science study filed of our age. We are eagerly looking forward to deep research and study of the scientists with a strict scientific attitude, and we are sure that the revelation of the secret will make and epoch-making contribution to the progress of the human science.
